Grow and nurture your network.
Tribes are built through give and take. The challenge is not simply to meet strangers but to foster relationships and leverage your contacts to benefit yourself and others.

During this session we will bust networking myths, show you how to approach strangers at a networking event, help you find new contacts in unlikely places, how to manage your networks online and tips on how to build meaningful relationships.
Proudly presented by Brisbane City Council.

Who is generationYOU?
Over the past 5 years, generationYOU has created a thriving community of young people: students, graduates, young professionals, school leavers and dreamers, with one thing in common >> a strong desire to unleash their potential at work (and in life)!

Our role is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge from the experienced (think managers, mentors and entrepreneurs) with Australia’s youth. We do this through original content, events & conferences.

The focus is on employability, entrepreneurship, skills development and career management which will not only benefit young adults themselves, but also their employers and communities.
What is generationYOU Inspire?

Does it matter what degree I'm studying?
Regardless of your degree or ideal job, our sessions are applicable to everyone! Our sessions cover skills that everyone needs regardless of their future of current role.
Is there a dress code?
There isn’t a strict dress code to abide by, however wearing smart casual attire is definitely the recommended outfit of the day … AKA dress for comfort with a little bit of style!
I can't make it for the whole session, can I still come?
Absolutely. Whilst we would love for you to join us for the whole session, we understand that sometimes you have commitments that just can’t move. You will be able to arrive late to a session and leave early.
Why are you running two sessions for this event?
Following the latest Government restrictions, we are running two sessions in order to remain Covid-safe while also giving the most amount of people an opportunity to attend the event.

The sessions will cover the same topics, there will just be less tickets available per session. If you have a ticket and can't make it anymore, please let us know so we can pass it onto someone else.
