We live in an impatient world and I feel like whilst everyone wants a mentor ... that comes with the expectation of instant gratification, and if you can't satisfy the expectations upfront ... then you are not seen as valuable.
When you are studying, your degree feels like the world. Your everything. But have you considered that perhaps there is more that needs your attention?
